Teleki Castle From Luna De Jos Dăbâca

Teleki Castle, located in Luna de Jos locality, Dabaca commune, was built by the Transylvanian aristocratic Teleki family. The construction of the castle began in the second part of the 17th century, being finished in 1700 by Pál Teleki (1677-1731). The political affiliation of the family attracts the reprisals of the imperial army who destroys the building.

Only one hunting tower of 35 meters and a part of the park are left from the initial property. The material left from the castle demolition was used for building a tall wall which protected the new neoclassic pavilion with ground floor and first floor. In the present this pavilion is used as centre of care and assistance for elder people with disabilities.
