Cluj-Napoca Central Cemetery Cluj-Napoca

The Central Cemetery appears in the documents of the time under the name of Hajongard, becoming a cemetery at the end of the 16th century, spreading on an area of more hectares. Here are located the funerary monuments of personalities with decisive role in the political, cultural and artistic life of Transylvania.

One of its particularities is given by the fact that there is no fence delimitation between denominations and nationalities. The oldest funerary monuments from the cemetery date from the 16th – 17th centuries.
