The Paleontology and Stratigraphy Museum of the Faculty of Biology and Geology is located in the main building of „Babes-Bolyai” University.

The Paleontology-Stratigraphy Museum has over 50.000 models of objects, being structured in thematic collections. The collection of types is the most valuable one and it has over 200 species of fossil plants and animals, of which 118 are included in the National Patrimony.

Fossil plants, invertebrate and vertebrate animals from the country and abroad are exhibited in chronological order. Also, fragments of giant carboniferous ferns, as well as the polychromatic silicified trunk from the famous Jurassic forest from Arizona, are exhibited.
