Presentation - The Orthodox Church Of "sovagailor" Turda Turda

In 1467, Matei Corvin repels the noble revolt from Turda and Cluj. He called his uncle, Miklos Olah, prefect of the salt mines from Transylvania in Turda. He allows Romanians to build a church provided they work in the mine. This church, located on Dorobanti Street, no. 1, will be known as Sovagailor Church-the Church of Salt Hewers. In 1709, the church is rebuilt completely, being taken over by the Romanian Church United with Rome. After 1948, passes under the jurisdiction of the Romanian Orthodox Church, and the original tower was replaced with a tower in neo-Byzantine style.
