House Of Roman-Catholic Parish Cluj-Napoca

The House of Roman-Catholic Parish from Cluj, located on 15-16 Piata Unirii (Union Square), is one of the oldest buildings of the city. It is the result of merging three houses, the oldest one being erected in the middle of the 15th century. The person who built the parochial house was the parish priest of the church St. Michael, Gregorius Schleynig, whose coat of arms – the lion tied to a fortress bastion – can be noticed above the old gate of the house. In this house lived also the founder of the Unitarian Religion, David Francisc and functioned the Unitarian College. In the present, the building serves a school as well as the collection of the sculptor Szervatiusz Jeno.
