Toldalagi-Korda Palace Cluj-Napoca

At the intersection of I.C. Bratianu and Hermann Oberth Streets is built a Baroque palace, former residence of an important aristocratic family from Cluj, Toldaghi-Korda family. One member of Toldaghi family gets married with Ana Korda and at the beginning of the 19th century the construction of the palace is started, a building with basement, ground floor and floor, ridged roof and Baroque framework.

The external facades are on the Western and Northern sides, the latter being the main facade where we find the main entrance in the building and a balcony above it. The entrance is bordered by columns with Ionic capitals. Above the entrance we find the sculpted coats of arms of the two families. In the present the palace is an administrative building of “Babes-Bolyai” University.
