Orosháza-Gyopárosfürdő Baths are located in a nature reserve in south-eastern Hungary, 3 km away from the centre of Orosháza, stretching over an area of about 6 hectares. Due to the short distance from the city centre, the quiet and relaxing ambience, the traditional therapies based on medicinal waters, the permanently widening range of services, the baths and their related leisure area provide ideal conditions for those who arrive here seeking treatment, physical and mental relaxation and carefree fun.

On May 5^th, 2008 the recreational area located on the banks of the Gyopárosi lakes system, surrounded by a park-forest of 20 hectares was declared a 4-star Leisure Baths Resort by Magyar Fürdőszövetség (Hungarian Baths Federation).

In January 1999, Gyopáros water was declared thermal water, being included in class “A” of health resorts of national importance.

Besides the Gyopáros Lake suitable for boating and water bikes, our guests’ needs are met by the indoor and outdoor medicinal and thermal water pools, swimming pools, pools for swimming lessons, water surface tension recreational pools and leisure pools for children.

Our guests can also practice sports such as beach handball, beach volleyball, and soccer on grass fields. Free of charge and paying parking lots and a space for bicycles are provided at the entrance to the baths resort.

Leisure Baths

The leisure baths, with a base area of ​​about 6000 square meters, await guests with a choice of 3 outdoor pools and 4 indoor pools with circulated water, 2 giant water slides, aquatic play elements (cervical shower, mushroom, aquatic hedgehog, clinostatic massage, waves corridors, underwater jets, geyser), fitness room, conference room, drink bars, restaurant and more.

Treatment

The indoor and outdoor thermal water pools and the medical gymnastics pool are filled with water originating from two thermal wells.

During spa treatments, the alkali – hydro-carbonate waters enhance the body’s regenerative ability and its alkali reserves and they also have analgesic effects. They reduce the irritability of the central nervous system and symptoms caused by stress, while also alleviating sleep disorders and allergic reactions.

At lower temperatures (below 34°C), they have anti-inflammatory effects, while at higher temperatures (above 36°C) they reduce muscle tension. When inhaled, thermal water helps eliminate bronchial secretions. Due to their content of silicic acid, it reduces skin inflammation caused by eczema, lichen, psoriasis.

Gyopáros spa treatments are recommended for persons suffering from locomotor, gynaecological, urological, respectively dermatological disorders.

The Sauna Park is a special place in the Gyopáros leisure baths resort, where guests can choose between 6 different types of sauna in one of the 9 cabins (60-80°C and 80-90°C Finnish sauna, 2 steam cabins, 1 aromatherapy sauna, 2 infra-saunas, 1 chromotherapy sauna, 1 swimming pool, 1 Jacuzzi + Sauna Bar).
