Comedy Theatre

Radu Beligan inaugurated The Comedy Theatre on 5th January 1961, in his quality of director. The first theatrical season started with the performance “The Famous 702” by Alexandru Mirodan (literary secretary of the theatre), directed by Moni Ghelerter.

The Comedy Theatre had, along the time, great Romanian stage actors- Radu Beligan, Stefan Ciubotarasu, Grigore Vasiliu Birlic, Aurel Giurumia, Nineta Gusti, Mircea Septilici, Amza Pellea, Stefan Tapalaga, Silviu Stanculescu, Marcela Rusu, Ion Lucian, Gheorghe Dinica, Marin Moraru, Sanda Toma, Mircea Albulescu, Tamara Buciuceanu Botez, Cornel Vulpe, Stela Popescu, Vasilica Tastaman, Dumitru Rucareanu, Iurie Darie.
