Nottara Theatre 

Nottara Theatre, situated on Magheru Boulevard, one of the most important commercial streets of the capital, was founded in 1947, like The Army Theatre.

Today, Nottara Theatre, leaded by the well- known theatre and film actor Mircea Diaconu, is a public cultural institution under the authority of the General Council of Bucharest, functioning as a permanent company with 42 employed actors and a technical and administrative team of over 100 members. Each theatrical season, comprises at least 15 titles, in both Magheru Hall- “Horia Lovinescu”- Italian scene with a capacity of 485 places (dimensions: 8,5x 11 m), and Studio Hall- “George Constantin”- an elegant and functional space  with maximum 99  places.

The program of the present direction bases on quality and variety, meaning old and new well-known texts, famous stage directors (of all ages), stage designers, choreographers, famous composers.
