Palace Of The History Museum Cluj-Napoca

The house Petrechevich-Horváth – located at the intersection of the Western side of Museum Square with Constantin Daicoviciu Street – was built by Dániel Petrechevici-Horváth at the beginning of the 19th century with the purpose of becoming the cultural-artistic centre of Cluj. However, this role was took over by Reduta Palace and the building was used by the Reformed College, in 1925 being bought by the Romanian state. From this year it became the depositary of the most important archaeological discoveries from Cluj and in the present it is the head office of the National History Museum of Transylvania.
